Cross Curricular Activities  - Math and Language Arts
As students learn math concepts they must also learn how to apply these concepts to solve problems. After several activities of showing whole to part examples, students use their understanding of the concept to solve word problems.
Using die cuts and the templates below students complete whole to parts papers.  We pretend that the parts represent different types of pie: cherry and blueberry.

In this activity children determine the parts.
Additional Word Problems
Materials: Die cuts, numbers, glue, marking pens (can be used in replace of die cuts)
