Letter X is often ignored, not in our classroom

Letter X Man Bulletin Board
Letter x, often ignored, is important.  He is a consonant that often makes the /ks/ as in hexagon, ox, fox, six, box, mix, fix, mixer, Rex and Max.  This is a work in progress as we add more and more /ks/ words.  In our class Letter X Man cannot be ignored.   He stands proud at 4 feet, 11 inches tall!     Not Measurement Tape on right side.
Introduction to x and the sound x makes  /ks/ - also the example all students will trace
Tracing letter x man - This activity emphasizes words with x making the sound  /ks/.  Tracing also promotes small motor skills, eye-hand coordination, dexterity and spatial awareness.
