Octad is a fun spider with 8 legs.  He is going to help us practice multiples of 8.

Introduction to multiples of 8.  Octad is one spider with 8 legs (1 X 8 = 8)

He began his journey alone - one spider with eight legs.  He then met a friend.  The two of them had 16 legs.  Next, Octad met another friend.  All together they had 24 legs ( 8+8+8 = 24).

He met another friend (8+8+8+8 = 32).

Fun Art Project.  Octad with his web.  Materials needed are three popsicle sticks, yarn, and an Octad  template (found at the end of this post).

Just chilling out spider. Materials needed are black construction paper, pipe cleaners, shoes (button shoes were used in this example), and wiggly eyes.
