These are fun lessons with two objectives - (1) practicing ea vowels that make the long e sound
(2) sorting adjectives that describe the /ea/ pattern words: ice-cream, pea, peach, tea, bean
and meatball. Below is the First Sorting Activity
Student Practice Paper
Using a pocket chart, have children pull adjective cards from a paper bag and place them in the pocket chart under the correct ea pattern word. As more students place adjectives under words, adjectives incorrectly placed will need to be moved to place the correct adjectives in those spaces.
