Building Sentences

We are writing a lot this year and I introduced the ending - ay to them.  We listed words on the chart that ended with -ay and then wrote the words listed onto index cards with additional known words to make sentences.  We sorted the words (beginning middle and ending) according to where they would appear in a sentence.  Words with a capital letter would appear first, those with a period or question mark would be at the end of a sentence.  All other words would appear in the middle of a sentence.  Next, we organized the words into sentences. #buildingsentences
